What should we bring?
Just a bottle of water. That’s it!
Can my child try a class before enrolling?
Absolutely. New students can join us for a 3-class trial for $40 before committing to enrolment.
If you decide to continue, the $40 trial fee is deducted from your term fees.
What should my child wear?
Whatever they feel comfortable dancing in! Most students wear a leotard with shorts, leggings or a skirt, or a T-shirt with shorts.
Dance shoes aren’t needed for trial classes — bare feet are perfectly fine.
Can we just turn up to a class?
Unfortunately, no. We keep limits on our class sizes and some classes may be full.
Please register for a trial first so we can confirm there is a place available for your child.
Do I need to enrol again each term?
No. Once enrolled, your child’s place is secured for the year, so there’s no need to re-enrol each term.
Can we join during the year?
Yes! Enrolments are welcome throughout the year, subject to availability.
If you join part-way through a term, your fees will be adjusted accordingly.
How can we pay?
Term fees can be paid by bank transfer prior to the first lesson of each term, or by cash at the first lesson.
What happens if my child misses a class?
We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, but where possible, students are welcome to make up a missed class at our other location within the same week.
Please contact us first so we can check that there is space in the alternative class.
Do students have to perform in a concert?
No — our concert is completely optional.
Students have the opportunity to perform on stage in our annual October concert, but there’s no pressure to participate. Costumes are hired rather than purchased, helping to keep concert costs affordable.
We also hold Parent Days, giving families another opportunity to see what students have been learning in class.
Do you have exams or competitions?
No. TK Dance is recreational dance without the pressure of exams or competitions. Our focus is on learning, confidence, friendships and enjoying dance.
Are there concerts? – Students have end of term Parent Days & the opportunity to perform onstage in October in a fun concert. Costumes are hired at minimal cost, it is 100% optional to participate.
